Celebrate Independents Day on Nov. 3

Now that another election cycle is here, one of the words I’m hearing quite often is “loyalty.”

The concept of loyalty is often debated and even bandied about by some politicians who are proposing some sort of litmus test to see if a candidate is truly loyal.

But when I think of loyalty these words come to mind: fidelity, allegiance, patriotism, and dedication.

These words also apply to our independent candidates running for election this November 3 here in North Idaho.

Whether we’re talking about our legislative candidates Kathryn Larson or Steve Johnson, or Todd Achilles and Sarah Zabel campaigning to represent us in Washington, D.C., these four demonstrate fidelity, allegiance, patriotism, and dedication. In other words, loyalty.

That’s why they deserve your vote, and don’t forget about independent John Stegner in the governor’s race.

It’s time for a change. It’s time for Independents’ Day on Nov. 3.
