The Kalispell Compline Choir announces the return of Nightcap for the Soul, a free monthly program of sacred music and meditative readings offered on the second Sunday of each month, September through May, at Christ Church Episcopal. The first Nightcap of the season is Sunday, Sept. 13 at 8 p.m.

Nightcap for the Soul draws on one of the oldest traditions of Christian worship — the Compline, a 5th–6th century practice of chant, hymns, and quiet reflection.

This 45-minute retreat offers peaceful plainsong, Medieval and Renaissance a cappella music, reflective readings, and gentle prayer. It is created for everyone—those rooted in a faith tradition and those with none. Attendees enter a darkened, quiet sanctuary lit only by candles, are invited to settle in, breathe deeply, and receive the blessings of the experience.

Nightcap for the Soul begins at 8 p.m. at Christ Church Episcopal, 215 Third Ave. E., Kalispell. Admission is free.
