POST FALLS — Trey Lambert, a senior from Lake City High, shot a 6-under-par 66 to earn boys medalist honors in the Post Falls Invitational at The Highlands Golf Course on Wednesday.
Tournament host Post Falls won the boys tournament with a 309, three strokes ahead of Lake City.
Coeur d’Alene junior Livi Garcia shot a 1-under-par 73 to earn girls medalist honors, leading the Vikings to the team title with a 308.
“I could not be more proud of our girls today,” Coeur d’Alene girls golf coach Jeff Lake said. “As a team, we played some really good golf, consistently putting ourselves in great positions, both off the tee and on the green. Overall, it was a terrific team performance and a great team win to start the season. Livi has worked so hard and shown so much resiliency, and to see her earn her first medalist was pretty awesome.”
