Kudos were given at the Aug. 17 Boundary County School District meeting to Julie Smith for managing the Future Farmers of America. "She took on the whole FFA by herself because there was an emergency with the other teacher, and so she had really long days at the fair." … Boundary County School District custodial staff, including Kirk and Jeff, also were honored by district officials for not only their regular duties but going out of their way at Mount Hall Elementary to ensure firefighters had what they needed as they fought local wildfires … A huge thank you to BCSD district office staff who are in the middle of a "huge rollover" between one system to  another. "Our auditors warned us that it would not be fun and it's not, so kudos to all of them," BCSD Superintendent Jan Bayer said. "And Catherine has handled it with such grace … so it's been good."
