Vote for Prop 1 to help women, families
Bonner County Daily Bee | UPDATED 2 months AGO
I’ll trust the judgment of God and the humility of Jesus when I vote yes for Prop 1 over the sanctimonious, fear-mongering claims of opponents of the Reproductive Freedom and Privacy Act.
We are created with a brain to problem solve and a heart to care. Let's use them for good actions not for stone-throwing judgments. I don’t know any female who has had an on-demand abortion or a so-called partial-birth abortion.
However, we all know many Idaho females who suffer miscarriages and ectopic pregnancies. They should not have to wait for a second opinion or until they’re near death to get necessary healthcare or be charged criminally. Prop 1 allows them to get immediate healthcare in Idaho.
Mothers shouldn’t have to drive from Sandpoint to Washington to deliver their babies because Idaho’s total ban chased away Sandpoint’s labor and delivery doctors. Idaho continues to burden women and doctors with criminal threats. Our pro-birth anti-support government denies families help. Unwed mothers, abandoned by bio-daddies, have difficulties getting SNAP benefits and other needed assistance. A female can’t win either way.
A no vote is promoting the unconscionable belief that stopping one so called on-demand abortion is more important than helping a woman who miscarries, helping a woman who is raped and helping a young teen who is impregnated by a relative, which is known as incest and rarely reported to police.
Vote yes for Prop 1 to help women and families.
