Karen Lynne Huyck, 80, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2026, in Spokane Valley, Wash.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at the Seneacquoteen Cemetery in Sagle, Idaho.
Lynne was born on February 25, 1946, in Roseburg, Ore., to Ernest and Maurine Nazelrod. She grew up and attended schools in Santa Rosa, Calif. She graduated from Santa Rosa High School and Santa Rosa Junior College.
Lynne married Michael Huyck on July 1, 1977, in Santa Rosa, Calif. In 1985 she moved to Sandpoint and established Huckleberry Retirement Homes where she cared for and assisted many in her community.
Throughout her life, Lynne enjoyed traveling, exploring, crafting and sewing. She loved gardening and nature. Her kindhearted nature led her to a life devoted to helping those in need and making a positive impact in their lives.
She is survived by her nieces, Lisa Steele, Melanie Corder, Acacia DiGiulo and her nephews, Mike Vadon and Robert Nazelrod.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Michael Huyck; two sisters, Bonnie Vadon and Joyce Steele; and two brothers, Eddie and Monte Nazelrod.
