PREP VOLLEYBALL: Post Falls sweeps Lewiston

POST FALLS — Senior Lucy Carr totaled 15 assists, 10 digs and three aces as the Post Falls Trojans beat the Lewiston Bengals 25-14, 25-13, 25-20 on Saturday afternoon at The Arena.
Peyton Barclift had 13 kills for Post Falls (3-0). Teresa Smith had five kills and three aces, Rylie Gump five kills, Lucy Smith 13 assists and three aces, Jade Laos nine digs, Reese DeGraw and Khloe Neal one block each.
"Lewiston never gave up and hustled on every single point," Post Falls coach Casey Cornett said. “They fought hard right down to the end. I was really proud of our group for staying locked in and maintaining our playing standard, which gave us a great opportunity to work on our offensive communication and the connections between our hitters and setters.”
Post Falls travels to Coeur d’Alene on Tuesday to open 6A Inland Empire League play.
Lewiston (0-1) plays at Lake City on Tuesday.

SPIRIT LAKE — Junior Rhylee Yetter had 11 digs, five kills, two aces and two blocks as the Tigers defeated the Cougars from Kalispell, Mont., 25-14, 25-22, 25-13.
Addie Archer added six kills, nine digs, three aces and two blocks for Timberlake (1-2). Shae Jones had four kills, five blocks and four aces, Willow Mattson 13 assists, Sidnie Thompson 10 digs.
“We played with intention today, and everyone contributed to today’s win,” Timberlake coach Lisa Gardom said. “Our communication on the court was good, and we had good energy throughout the match.”
Timberlake travels to St. Maries on Tuesday.
