Glenn William Cooper, 80

Glenn William Cooper was 80 years old when he passed away Sunday, Jan. 18, 2026, at his home in Post Falls.

Glenn was born Aug. 29, 1945, in Castor, Alberta, Canada. His Father was William Edward Cooper, and his mother was Ethel Lee (Summers) Cooper.

Glenn attended public school in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada, and also received further Education and training for his job with Alberta Government Telephones (AGT).

Glenn met and married Paulette Joy (Simoneau) in Calgary, Alberta. The Date of their marriage was Aug. 25, 1967. They shared 58+ years together as husband and wife.

Glenn lived the first half of his life in Alberta, Canada. In 1985, he relocated with his family to San Luis Obispo County, Calif., where they resided in a home in Atascadero, Calif. Glenn worked for the City of San Luis Obispo from 1985 to 2001 as a signal technician/electrician.

After retiring from his work for the city of SLO, he relocated to Post Falls, Idaho, where he and his wife settled onto an acreage they loved.

Glenn and his son, Aaron, opened Cooper Fabrication Inc., a welding and fabrication business in Post Falls in 2002. The business is something Glenn and his family are very proud of.

Glenn is survived by his wife, Paulette of Post Falls, Idaho; his son Glen (Janet) of Post Falls, Idaho; his son Aaron (Anna) of Hayden, Idaho; his sister Marilyn (Brad) of Nanaimo, BC, Canada; his brother Don (Charlene) of Red Deer, Alta, Canada; and several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
