Fun-loving Red Devils play that way

The young Lady Red Devils lost 66-21 to the Hot Springs Savage Heat in Hot Springs Saturday but you won’t hear Noxon coach Cory Brodmerkle complaining about it.
“The girls played so hard and were having fun,” she said. “They have been pretty hard on themselves lately so it was good to see them out there enjoying it. I think they almost forgot that basketball is supposed to be fun.”
Indeed, the Devils seemed to be more foot loose and fancy free in Hot Springs than they have been all season.
Nevaeh Christensen led the Devils with nine points against the Heat including a pair of 3-pointers, besides grabbing four rebounds, three steals and three rebounds and blocking two shots.
Abigail Yoder scored eight points, had five steals, three rebounds and three assists, and Brielle MacArthur and Kaylie Mercer added two points apiece. MacArthur also passed out two assists and snared three rebounds, Mercer added five rebounds, Danni Hill and Sandy Bonney three each and Layne Eichert two.
The Devils have two District 14C home games on tap in Noxon this week, hosting Alberton Thursday and Charlo Saturday.
