He now assumes leadership of Kootenai Care Network, continuing a career focused on advancing coordinated, high-quality care.
Guel holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Troy University, a Master of Arts in English from Heritage University, and a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration from Concordia University — Portland. In addition to his civilian health care leadership experience, Guel is a former U.S. Army Medical Service Corps officer, where he held leadership roles in Combat Support Hospitals and gained extensive experience in healthcare operations, logistics, and team leadership in complex environments.
Guel recently completed his term serving on the Board of Directors for the Washington State chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and plans to join the Idaho chapter in 2026.
As Executive Director, Guel will lead Kootenai Care Network’s strategic direction, operational performance and collaborative efforts to support providers and improve care coordination across the region.
