PREP BOYS BASKETBALL: Taylor tallies 30 in Kellogg win

KELLOGG — Senior Draeden Taylor poured in 30 points, 19 in the first quarter, and the Kellogg Wildcats rolled to a 69-33 victory over their county rival Wallace Miners on Monday night at Andrews Gymnasium.
Taylor hit six 3-pointers, three in the first quarter, for Kellogg (10-7), which jumped out to a 25-8 lead after one quarter.
Sophomore Cooper Miller led Wallace (8-8) with 16 points.
Wallace plays host to Coeur du Christ on Friday.
Kellogg returns to action next Tuesday at home vs. Bonners Ferry.

COEUR d'ALENE — Junior Cyrus Coppinger poured in 26 points as the Mountain Christian League champion Lions defeated the Thunder on senior night at Lakes Middle School.
Sophomore Colt Quimby added 14 points for Christian Center School (16-3, 11-1), which has a first-round bye in the MCL tournament, and will play either Pullman Christian or Spokane Classical Christian on Friday at 4 p.m. in the semifinals at The Oaks in Spokane Valley.
Ben Brewer led Kootenai Thunder (6-7, 4-8) with 13 points.
