First road restrictions set
Bonner County Daily Bee | UPDATED 1 day AGO
SANDPOINT — The first road in the county was posted with weight limits Tuesday, Bonner County Road & Bridge officials said.
Under weight limit restrictions, no early morning hauling is allowed on any Bonner County-maintained road posted with such restrictions. A green flag indicates weight restrictions are imminent; a red flag or no flag indicates weight restrictions are in effect.
• District 1 (south of the Long Bridge) — All roads have been posted with green flags indicating weight restrictions are imminent. Roads may be posted with a red flag at any point.
• District 2 (Priest River/Priest Lake) — Helen Thompson Road has been posted with weight limits. All other roads have been posted with green flags indicating weight restrictions are imminent. Roads may be posted with a red flag at any point.
• District 3 (Sandpoint/Clark Fork) — All roads have been posted with green flags indicating weight restrictions are imminent. Roads may be posted with a red flag at any point.
Per county ordinance, it is the responsibility of the hauler to contact the Bonner County Road & Bridge Department to determine whether or not these restrictions are in place. The restrictions will remain in effect until changed, at which time updates will be posted.
