Ronan Chamber Luncheon – 12 p.m. Feb. 5 at Ninepipes Lodge; join the chamber luncheon for a presentation from Jennifer Hicks, auditor with the Montana Department of Revenue, who will discuss Montana State tax updates, the Big Beautiful Bill and how it affects individuals and businesses.
Mission Valley Live hosts Quarteto Nuevo – 7 p.m. Feb. 6 at the Ronan Middle School Performing Arts Center; Quarteto Nuevo is a merge of Western classical and Eastern European folk with a Latin and jazz feel. Visit missionvalleylive.com.
Valentine’s Day Card Making – 4 p.m. Feb. 6 at the North Lake County Public Library; All ages are welcome, and all supplies are provided to make Valentine’s Day cards.
Baby Fair – 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Salish Kootenai College; new and expecting parents, along with families with children 0-5 years old, are welcome to learn about pregnancy education, health and dental information during the annual fair.
Polson Kiwanis Buffalo Burgerfest – 4:30-7 p.m. Feb. 10 at the Polson Elks Lodge; buffalo burgers, salad, pie and beverages will be available. Tickets can be found at Glacier Bank, Unity Bank, Valley Bank, or via a Kiwanis member.
St. Ignatius Police Department Free Adult CPR and First Aid Training – 6-9 p.m. Feb. 11-12 at the St. Ignatius Volunteer Fire Department Hall; Feb. 11 will include training on how to administer CPR for infants, children and adults while Feb. 12 focuses on first aid training.
Tree Pruning Class – 4-5:30 p.m. Feb. 12 at the North Lake County Public Library; learn the basics of tree pruning to protect trees and promote strong growth from Patrick Mangan from the MSU Extension Flathead Reservation Office.
Ronan Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony – noon Feb. 14 at the Ronan Boys & Girls Club; the annual event begins at noon with a baked potato bar followed by the ceremony at 1 p.m. This year’s crop of inductees includes community members Lute Thingelstad and Gary Granley, former music teacher Cathy Gillhouse, athlete Zachary Pitt and alum Anthony Patch, plus the 2011 Ronan Middle School Robotics Team and the 1929 RHS boys basketball team.
Flathead Lake International Cinema Festival – Feb. 13-19 at the Showboat Stadium 6; FLIC is Polson’s independent, international film festival from across the globe. The films range from shorts to feature-length documentaries and narratives. See the lineup at www.flicpolson.com.
Conservation Speaker Series: Flower Forensics with eDNA Surveys – 6 p.m. Feb. 18, Ninepipes Lodge; research ecologist Tabitha Graves gives this free presentation.
David Thompson in Montana – 1-3 p.m. Feb. 21 at the Ninepipes Museum; Doug Stevens presents a history of the travels of fur trader and map maker David Thompson. Stevens will host a Q&A after the talk, with refreshments. The event is open to the public.
Glacier Brewing Company Chili Cook-Off – 1-4 p.m. Feb. 22 at Glacier Brewing Company; registration is open until Feb. 15, with an entry fee of $10. This event is open to the public, and first, second, and third-place prizes will be awarded.
Arts & Crafts in Polson – 1-4 p.m. Wednesdays at Summit Independent Living, 3 Ninth Ave. West, Suite 1 in Polson; join CSKT elder Tammie Miller for an afternoon of crafting, companionship and snacks. Cheerful Heart Cancer Support Group – 10-11 a.m. on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month in the third-floor Leahy Conference Room at St. Joseph Medical Center in Polson; pastor Matthew Connolly leads the group, which welcomes those recently diagnosed or undergoing treatment, cancer survivors, and/or family members.
