Adarah Dancer was a beloved mother, grandmother, partner, and friend whose warmth and presence touched everyone who knew her. She was the proud mother of two sons, Scott Oates and David Oates, and a loving mother-in-law to Heidi Oates and Mary Oates.

Adarah found immense joy in her role as grandmother to Ryan Oates, Tessa Jodar (Oates), Jennifer Mejia (Oates), and Stephen Oates, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

She is survived by her devoted partner of 40 years, Tremain Albright, with whom she shared a life full of love, companionship, adventure, and cherished memories. She is also survived by her faithful dogs, Bonnie and Clyde, who were constant sources of comfort and joy.

Adarah will be remembered for her love of family, her caring spirit, and the deep connections she built over a lifetime. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who loved her, and she will be deeply missed.

The following was written by Adarah’s hospice nurse shortly before her passing:

Adarah,

You were beautiful because you were free.

The mountain knew this.

The snow beneath your skis knew this.

Your body in motion — dancing, flying, catching light —

that was your soul speaking without translation.

The ranch is calling you home.

Not the one here —

the one waiting.

Where you don’t have to be gracious anymore.

Where you can be as wild

as you always were on that mountain.

You may cross exactly as you are —

strong, tired, radiant, unfinished.

The mountain is already there.

The dance floor is already there.

And everyone who loves your true frequency

is already there.

Your beautiful, brazen truth

was always the most charming thing about you.

Let it soar
