Sandford, a redshirt junior lineman from Coeur d'Alene High, was named a 2025 NAIA Academic All-American by College Sports Communicators (CSC).
Sandford, a 6-foot-4 right tackle anchored a Saints offensive line that helped account for 1,357 rush yards, 3,020 passing yards, and just 31 sacks allowed on the season. Sandford allowed just two sacks in a 12-game season that saw Carroll return to the postseason for the first time since 2022, winning tits first postseason game since the 2014 season.
The three-time Academic All-Conference selection and mutli-time NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athlete earned postseason honors this past fall, being named a First Team All-Frontier Conference-West selection.
Sandford has continually ranked among the highest GPAs on the Carroll football team over the course of his career, maintaining a 3.79 cumulative GPA while majoring in pre-elementary and special education.

Montana women's basketball
The sophomore guard from Lake City High is averaging 13 points and 7.4 rebounds per game for the Grizzlies (7-14, 4-6 Big Sky), who play at Eastern Washington tonight and at Idaho on Saturday. Waddington scored 31 points for Montana in a 69-63 win over Portland State last Thursday in Missoula. "Avery was huge throughout the course of the game," Montana coach Nate Harris said. "They refused to send a second body at her and she did great. She killed it."
