Lenora L. Gandee, 80, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 8, 2026.
She was born January 22, 1945, to Leroy and Mary McPeak in Grandy, Nebraska. Lenora loved to cook, bake, garden, and can. She was the manager of several different restaurants over the years. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She married our dad, Joseph R. Gandee, on June 24, 1970, and together they raised four children: Kari (Gabe) Komance of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, Kellie (Rick) Brown of Sandpoint, Idaho, Lori Gandee of Sandpoint, and Joseph R. Gandee Jr.
She is survived by her sister, Lois Ann Sator of Ogallala, Nebraska; her three daughters; grandchildren, Jason (Samantha) Steele of Naples, Idaho; Jerene (Bruce) of Boise, Idaho; Katie (Seth) Mills of Bonners Ferry, Idaho; and Jessica (Mark) Sheeley of Colorado; daughter-in-law, Bernadine Dandee of Starling, Colorado; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph R. Gandee; her son, Joseph R. Gandee Jr.; her parents, LeRoy and Mary McPeak; brothers, Donnie, Arlene, Robert, George, and Bill; and sisters Margery and Ruth.
She wanted no funeral, but did want a celebration of life in the spring or early summer at her daughter Kari’s house.
We all love you, Mama. We will all be together someday.
