Gail Carter, 74

Gail Carter, age 74, passed away peacefully in her sleep Friday, Jan. 23, 2026, at her home in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. 

Gail earned her bachelor’s degree in teaching before becoming the proud owner of Ray’s Chevon, a cherished local business in CDA.

Deeply committed to her community, Gail was known for her generous spirit and active involvement in volunteer efforts throughout Mica Flats. She embraced life’s simple joys by quilting, spending time with loved ones, and honoring her Chickasaw heritage.

Gail was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and her family will forever cherish the love, warmth and guidance she shared. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, dedication and joy that will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
