The Libby Loggers dropped a pair of Northwest A conference games last week, falling on the road to Bigfork Vikings and Ronan Chiefs as Libby slid to 2-11 overall and 0-7 in league play.

Libby opened the week with a 52-31 loss at Bigfork on Thursday, Jan. 29. The Vikings used a fast start to take control early, jumping out to a 13-4 first-quarter lead behind Treker Hickey, who finished with a game-high 15 points.

Bigfork led 24-9 at halftime and maintained separation the rest of the way. Austin Savik knocked down three 3-pointers to score 11 points and Tamret Savik added 12 for the Vikings (8-5, 5-2 Northwest A).

Bransen Holzer led Libby with 11 points, while Isaac Lamere hit two 3-pointers and finished with six.

Two nights later, Libby fell 64-38 at Ronan. The Loggers kept the game close early and trailed just 15-13 after the first quarter, but the Chiefs steadily pulled away with strong second- and third-quarter runs.

Holzer turned in another strong performance, scoring 18 points to pace Libby. Andersen finished with eight points.

Libby hosts Columbia Falls Thursday and plays at Polson Saturday.
