Cookie Ann Pitts of Osburn, Idaho, passed peacefully the morning of Jan. 14, 2026, at the age of 70. She was born in Aurora, Colo., to parents Gloria Levine and Tom Merle Minear on July 3, 1955.

Cookie was a beloved mother and grandmother to two daughters, Crystal and Catherine, and five grandchildren, Elizabeth, Ashlee, Andrew, Shee’Anna and Brandon.

In her lifetime, she was known as the life of the party. She loved the holidays and any reason to dress up and gather with friends and family. Before her diagnosis, when she wasn’t hosting, she enjoyed her time working at Shoshone Medical Center.

Cookie is predeceased by her husband, Cecil Pitts, and her siblings, Faye and Merle. She is survived by her daughters and grandchildren, her sisters, Linda and Melanie, and her brothers, Tom, Gail and Floyd Jr.

There will be a memorial service June 6, 2026, at Gene Day Park to honor her life and love of parties. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Palouse Hills Assisted Living.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Short’s Funeral Chapel of Moscow, and condolences may be left at www.shortsfuneralchapel.com.
