Griz men win; Cats fall Saturday

MISSOULA (AP) — Money Williams had 14 points to help Montana hold off Idaho 73-68 on Saturday night.
Williams shot 4 of 10 from the field, including 3 for 6 from 3-point range, and went 3 for 4 from the free-throw line for the Grizzlies (14-11, 8-4 Big Sky Conference). Te’Jon Sawyer totaled 13 points and eight rebounds. Tyler Thompson scored 12 on four 3-pointers.
Biko Johnson finished with 22 points and six rebounds for the Vandals (13-11, 5-6). Jack Payne added 12 points and Isaiah Brickner had nine points and three steals.
E. Washington 72, Montana St. 71
BOZEMAN, Mont. — Alton Hamilton IV had 15 points and Jojo Anderson made a go-ahead layup with 18 seconds left to rally Eastern Washington.
Hamilton added eight rebounds for the Eagles (7-17, 5-6 Big Sky Conference). Tyler Powell and Isaiah Moses both scored 11 and Kiree Huie added 10 points.
Jeremiah Davis and Christian King both scored 14 to lead the Bobcats (14-11, 8-4). Davis and Chris Hodges missed shots to win in the final seconds. Jed Miller had 13 points.
Eastern Washington took a 37-34 lead into halftime. Seth Amunrud hit a 3-pointer to give Montana State a one-point lead with 27 seconds remaining.
