Hot-shooting Butte sweeps Flathead

BUTTE — Hudson Luedtke hit six 3-pointers en route to 33 points and a Butte victory over Flathead 75-61 Saturday in Western AA boys basketball at the Butte Civic Center.

Luedtke poured in 24 points in the first half, while Butte (10-3 overall, 6-3 in Western AA games) jumped ahead 43-28 at the break. Luedtke averaged 31.5 points per game in the weekend sweep of Flathead and Glacier. 

Mike Verlanic added 17 points with three triples, the Bulldogs made 11 threes as a squad. 

Hunter Fann led the Braves (1-14, 0-9 in conference) with 12 points, while Lance Schneller added 10. 

The Braves are next in action Tuesday as they welcome in Missoula Sentinel at 7 p.m.

Cadence Graham scored 31 points, including five 3-pointers and Butte ran away from Flathead 61-46 in Western AA girls basketball. 

Graham knocked down three triples in the first half as the Bulldogs (9-5 overall, 7-2 in Western AA games) jumped out to a 37-19 advantage. Saege Grey added nine for Butte. 

Grace Gall led the Bravettes (2-12, 1-8 in conference) with 15 points, while Brynn Kossman and Reese Rosenberg added nine each. 

Caitlin Converse knocked down a pair of threes in the final frame as Flathead looked to close the gap, but couldn’t overcome the Bulldogs hot start.
