NIC SOFTBALL: Cardinals down El Paso, fall to Arizona Western

YUMA, Ariz. — Emily Hanchey, a sophomore from Twin Falls, had two hits and two runs scored for North Idaho College in a 9-4 win over El Paso Community College in a nonconference game on Friday on the campus of Arizona Western College on Friday. 

Nevaeh McClaran, a freshman from Mountain View High in Meridian, hit a two-run home run for NIC in the opener. 

Later, NIC (1-6) lost to Arizona Western 8-0 in five innings. 

Further information was not available. 

NIC faces El Paso (0-6) and Arizona Western (3-2) again today before closing the trip with a doubleheader against Arizona Western on Sunday.
