With deep sadness and love, we announce the passing of Norma Jean (Albritton) Montoya, 90, beloved spouse, parent, grandparent, sister and friend, on Jan. 24, 2026.

Norma was born on Nov. 3, 1935, in Somers to Elsa and John Albritton. She graduated in 1953 from Flathead High School. She married Lionel Erickson in 1955; they had two beautiful children and later divorced in 1975. She worked at Conrad Bank in Kalispell out of high school and worked in the banking world until retiring in Brigham City, Utah as a branch manager.

In 1978, Norma married Chris Montoya, the love of her life. Their marriage was built on love, dedication and sacrifice that spanned a delightful 39 years. Norma was Chris's loving caregiver after he suffered a stroke in 2003. She was unyielding in support and stayed by Chris's side until his death in 2017.

Norma enjoyed bowling, bridge, traveling, puzzles and gardening, where she could be found edging her lawn with a paring knife. She was a devoted matriarch who found joy in family, laughter and the lively atmosphere of the casino floor. She loved to gamble with her sister and visit her in Montana. She was all in when it came to her family, and her love was a sure thing.

She is survived by her daughter, Jacci (Dan) Snow and son, Jon Erickson, Chris (Peggy) Montoya, Vivian Montoya, Weda (Bryan) Copper, Maddy (Danny) Guillot and Rosie Wilde; sister, Tootie (Gary) Collier; niece, Connie and nephew, Tyler, three grandchildren, Anthony, Andrea and Larissa Snow, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
