PREP WRESTLING: Post Falls boys, Sandpoint girls claim titles at Bonners Ferry

BONNERS FERRY — Post Falls, with four individual champions, claimed the team title at the Conrad Garner Invitational at Bonners Ferry High on Saturday. 

Junior Cole Moorman (126 pounds), sophomore Sawyer Sage (138), senior Damion Hamilton (165) and senior Landon Moore (175) won titles for the Trojans, who finished with 200.5 points. 

Junior Solomon Crowley (132), sophomore Eli Gross (150) and senior Josh Macdonald (157) won titles for Lake City, which was second with 180 points. 

“Eli really had a fantastic day,” Lake City coach Corey Owen said. “He’s one of the hardest-working guys in the wrestling room and has been improving all year long. With Josh, it feels like he’s just catching his stride. Our guys are wrestling our best right now, which is what you want to be doing this time of year.” 

Freshman Bryan Patrick (98), junior Carson Leonard (120), senior Cole Cooper (144) and freshman Emmit Rivadeneira (215) claimed championships for Lakeland, which was third with 170.5 points.

BONNERS FERRY — Sandpoint, with five individual champions, won the girls team title at the Conrad Garner Invitational at Bonners Ferry High. 

Mackenzee Donenfield (105 pounds), Summer Birch (120), Avery Inge (130), Zxyloh Hull-Johnson (145-155) and Ariana Turnbull (170) won titles for Sandpoint, which finished with 135 points.  

Kahli Brown (135/140) and Kassie Voss (190/235) won titles for Post Falls, which was second with 82.5 points.
