Jimmie Don Anderson (Jim), 89, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2026, at his home in Moses Lake, Wash. Jim was born September 9, 1936, in Graham, Texas.

On May 16, 1956, he married the love of his life Patricia Lillian Collins in Lewiston, Idaho, and they were married 59 years until Pat’s passing in May 2015.

After graduating from Columbia High School, class of 1955, in Richland, Wash., Jim enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served nine years ending his service at Larson Air Force Base, Moses Lake, Wash.

Jim spent many years doing road construction jobs, including the North Cascades Highway, Steamboat Rock State Park, and many other projects throughout the Columbia Basin. Jim needed a change and became a crane operator and worked for many years for Duncan Crane in Moses Lake before retiring.

Jim and Pat had seven children: daughters Karen Byers (Gary) of Columbia Falls, Mont., Patti Matheson and Carol Sue Gerber of Moses Lake, Don Anderson (deceased), Bill Anderson (Karen) of Ronald, Wash., Joann Winters of Spokane, Wash. and Elizabeth (Liz) McLaughlin of Moses Lake.

They were blessed with 13 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Jim is survived by six of his children, sister Lynda Smith (Mel) of Provo, Utah, sister-in-laws Lois Bruno and Donna Anderson of Moses Lake, and Barbra Guadagni (Rich) of Antioch, Cali.

He was preceded in death by his wife Pat, son Don Anderson, grandson Derek Anderson, and his brother Al Anderson.

Jim was a big fan of the Seattle Seahawks and got to watch the game that sent them to this year’s Super Bowl.

We will dearly miss you, Dad.
