Finley goes over 1,000, Ronan outscores Bigfork

RONAN — Kolby Finley scored 24 points, going over 1,000 for his career, and the Ronan Chiefs pulled away from a tight first quarter to beat Bigfork 80-62 in Northwest A boys basketball Tuesday.

Finley shot 11 of 17 from the floor and hit two 3-pointers for the Chiefs (13-3 overall, 8-2 Northwest A). Matiya Nenemay went 3-for-3 on threes in the second quarter as Ronan began building a lead; he finished with 21 points. Jhett McDonald had another 19 points for Ronan; he also hit two threes, as did Souixprixm Qualtier. 

Austin Savik hit four 3-pointers on the way to 24 points for the Vikings (9-7, 6-4). He had three 3s and 17 points by halftime.

Columbia Falls 58, Polson 46 

COLUMBIA FALLS — Bjorn Pedersen scored 15 points, hitting three 3-points, and Jory Hill added 13 for the Wildcats (11-4 overall, 7-2 in Northwest A games).  

Easton Brooks added 11 points for Columbia Falls, which ruled the boards 41-28 behind nine rebounds from Joe West and seven each from Pedersen and Rhett Lindskoog. The Cats also hit 11 of 14 free throws in the fourth quarter. 

Malakai Curley’s 14 points led Polson (7-8, 4-5 in league).
