Free street trees for Coeur d'Alene residents

Coeur d'Alene city staff and area contractors will plant 100 trees in public rights-of-way this spring as part of the Re-Leaf Coeur d’Alene program. 

Homeowners can sign up for a free street tree by March 13. Species available include Forest Pansy Redbud, Spring Snow Crabapple, Chanticleer Pear and Crimson Spire Oak.

The city created the program to enhance neighborhoods and deliver street-level benefits, including mitigating stormwater and reducing pollution. 

There is a limited number of trees, and they will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
