The U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force arrested Christian Harrison Evensizer, 28, on Monday in Spokane, Wash., near Sprague Ave. and Stone St., according to a news release from the U.S. Marshals Service.

Evensizer is charged with Aggravated Lewd Conduct with a Minor Under 12 stemming from a criminal investigation led by the Post Falls Police Department, alleging he sexually assaulted the minor.

After an active fugitive investigation, Evensizer was taken into custody without incident by members of the U.S. Marshals Service Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force and the U.S. Marshals Service Greater Idaho Fugitive Task Force.

Assistance from the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Spokane, the Idaho Department of Corrections, the Post Falls Police Department, the Spokane Valley Police Department, the Washington State Department of Corrections, and the Washington State Patrol also contributed to the arrest.

Law enforcement transported Evensizer to the Spokane County Jail, where he is detained pending extradition to Idaho.

Brent Bunn, the United States Marshal for the District of Idaho, relayed his appreciation to task force members and law enforcement partners in Idaho and Washington.

“The diligent investigative efforts of the Post Falls Police Department and collaboration with our task force and other partners led to the quick apprehension of a dangerous fugitive who was actively evading law enforcement,” Bunn said.

According to the release, the U.S. Marshals Service remains committed to protecting communities by aggressively pursuing violent offenders and ensuring those accused of crimes against children are located and brought before the courts through strong federal, state, tribal, and local partnerships.
