Soroptimist International of Whitefish invites the community to Celebrating Women 2026, a special afternoon tea event recognizing the accomplishments, contributions and empowerment of women and girls in the Flathead Valley via the Soroptimist of Whitefish programs.

The celebration will take place Sunday, March 8 from 3 – 6 p.m. at the O'Shaughnessy Center in Whitefish.

This year’s event coincides with International Women’s Day, highlighting the importance of opportunity, leadership and gender equality at both the global and local level. Community members are encouraged to attend to learn more about Soroptimist International of Whitefish programs that support economic empowerment, education, mentorship and community impact.

Attendees will enjoy afternoon tea, petite tea sandwiches and petit fours, $5 wine and beer and exciting raffle prizes. Raffle tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20.

There will be live performances featuring violinist JiaJia Farr, Miss Flathead Valley’s Teen, singer-songwriter Kate McLaughlin, and spoken word writer-performer Nino Gabaldón

Celebrating Women is an opportunity for families, neighbors, local leaders and supporters of women’s empowerment to come together in appreciation and solidarity. All proceeds help fund Soroptimist International of Whitefish programs—including scholarships, leadership development, and training that help women and girls achieve their goals.

Tickets are $15 and available in advance or at the door. Donations to support Soroptimist’s mission are welcome.
