The senior outfielder from Post Falls High started in center field and went 2 for 2 with two walks and three runs scored for the Warriors in the first game of a doubleheader Saturday, a 15-5 win over Whitworth in Lewiston in LC State’s season opener. Zeller, who played his first two seasons at Community Colleges of Spokane, appeared in 33 games last year for the Warriors, primarily as a courtesy runner. He was 3 for 4 in stolen bases, had five hits, including a home run, and scored 21 runs.
