DeCoite, Big Sky power past Bravettes

MISSOULA — Avery DeCoite scored 26 points, 17 coming in the first half as Missoula Big Sky took a 50-24 victory over Flathead Thursday in Western AA girls basketball.


Kenzie Schmitz added 18 points for the Eagles (13-2 overall, 10-0 in Western AA games), who outscored the Bravettes 19-1 in the opening quarter. Only four Eagles players found the scoresheet. 


Lexi Herion led the Bravettes (2-14, 1-10 in conf.) with seven points, Grace Gall added six. 


Flathead is back on the court Thursday as they make the short journey to battle crosstown rival Glacier at 7:30 p.m.
