With no snow to actually race the sleds, racers can at least show them off with a chance to win some cash prizes at Cabin Fever Days this Saturday. The Cabin Fever Days committee Thursday released plans for a "No Snow Barstool Show,” in Martin City.

Racers (there were 45 signed up) are encouraged to show off their sleds and costumes are also encouraged.

The crowd, in turn, will receive ballot tickets to vote for their favorite sleds and costumes.  There will have an announcing team, racer interviews, music, and the usual brand of Cabin Fever Days fun. Judging will be for one of two categories; Traditional (same rules as always) and Show (everything else).  Prizes will be given for the top three in each category as follows;

1st Place - $250 cash, a framed plaque (with a giant asterisk!!), a functional mini whiskey barrel, and a spot on the Wall of Fame at the Southfork Saloon.

2nd Place - $150 cash.

3rd Place - $100 cash.

All told, a total of $1,000 in prize money to give away courtesy of Glacier Distilling Company.

Sleds and riders should show up any time after 10 a.m.  Voting is open until 3 p.m.

Winners will be announced and rewarded at the award ceremony, at 7 p.m. at Packer's Roost.

All of the rest of Cabin Fever Days events, such as snowshoe softball, an arm wrestling tourney, the Mountain Man competition, and many other events, will go on as planned. Visit: cabinfeverdays.com for a complete lineup of events.
