Kendra Johnson Lind

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kendra Johnson Lind, on Feb. 3, 2026, at the age of 78. Kendra was born on Nov. 3, 1947, in Libby, Montana, to Harold and Laura (nee Schooley) Johnson.

After Kendra graduated from Libby High School in 1965, she went on to study at MSU Northern in Havre.

After graduating, she taught school at Absarokee for several years, then moved back to Libby. She married Harold Lind in 1977 and went to work for WR Grace. Later, she worked in Environmental Health for Lincoln County. She enjoyed working with the public and helping people solve problems.

In 2015, Kendra retired to spend her time with family. She resided in Marion where she was always the queen of crosswords and word games and spent the remainder of her time spoiling the kids.

Kendra was known for her strong will, sharp intellect and unwavering support for friends and family.

Kendra was preceded in death by her mother and father; husband; and sister, Kay Tarbert. 

She is survived by her daughter Toni (Michael) Schone; granddaughters Shannon and Hayley; her niece Lee Ann (Joe) Bentley; and great nephews Will, Ben, and Daniel.

Services will be held at Schnackenberg and Riddle Funeral Home Monday, Feb. 16, 2026, with viewing at noon and a memorial service at 1 p.m.
