Libby girls fall to Polson, Columbia Falls in Northwest A play

Libby was held to 20 points Saturday in a 39-20 Northwest A loss to Polson.
Libby (2-12 overall, 0-8 conference) stayed within striking distance early, trailing 14-5 after one quarter before cutting into the deficit with a 9-6 edge in the second period. Polson answered after halftime, however, holding the Loggers scoreless in the third quarter to seize control.
Hadleigh Wood led Libby with seven points while Jayva Boehmler added six.

Polson (9-5, 5-3) was led by Hinkley Moss with 10 points. Rylee Taylor-Jefferson and Aleysia Black added nine points each, and Josie Henriksen finished with seven.
Earlier in the week on Feb. 5, Libby dropped a 50-22 decision on the road to the Wildkats.
Columbia Falls (7-6, 5-2) jumped out early with a 14-3 first-quarter advantage and never looked back. Alexa Friske and Rylee Sweeney scored 12 points each to pace the Wildkats. Friske knocked down two three-pointers, while Alanis Peterson added one from beyond the arc.
Rylee Delmas led Libby with nine points, including a pair of three-pointers. Wood added five points.
Libby hosted Whitefish Thursday and was scheduled to host Browning Saturday.
