The Trojans cruised to a 69-34 victory over the St. Regis Tigers, before dropping a 86-43 decision to Mission on Saturday.

Troy (7-8 overall, 0-6 Western 7B) wasted little time against St. Regis, erupting for 25 first-quarter points to take control early. The Trojans followed with a 17-point second quarter to build a commanding 42-23 halftime lead and never let the Tigers back into the game.

Aspen Orr led a balanced Troy scoring effort with 19 points, while Nautika Larson added 12. Olivia Hall and Hailey Dungan each scored 11 points, and Kirsti Jellesed chipped in seven. Ainsley Huitron scored four points, Mellissa Laffoon added three and Aryana Smith finished with two.

St. Regis struggled offensively throughout the night, managing just three points in the third quarter as Troy’s defense continued to apply pressure.

Two nights later, Troy couldn’t carry the momentum into its matchup with Mission, as the Bulldogs raced out to a 26-17 first-quarter lead and poured in 31 points in the second to seize control. Mission led 57-22 at halftime and maintained its advantage the rest of the way.

Orr again paced the Trojans with 19 points. Dungan scored eight points, Jellesed added six.

Troy played Friday at Thompson Falls then hosted Stillwater Christian Saturday.
