Flathead boys fall at Big Sky Thursday

MISSOULA — Josiah Boone scored 20 points, Cormack Batt added 10 off the bench and both had six points as Missoula Big Sky pulled away in the fourth quarter of a 61-47 boys basketball win over Flathead Thursday.
Eli Kasberg added 13 points for the Eagles (6-9 overall, 3-7 in Western AA games), who hit 8 of 10 free throws in the fourth quarter. Big Sky cashed in at the line, outscoring the Braves 16-2 at the stripe.
Reece Brotherton hit three 3-pointers and scored 13 points in a reserve role for Flathead (1-16, 0-11 in league). Hunter Fann checked in with 12 points. The Braves’ next action is Thursday, at Crosstown rival Glacier.
