Security cameras captured video of a suspect who slipped into a skating rink overnight. The person skedaddled after an alarm sounded.

The Kalispell Police Department received a slew of calls about a barefoot man wearing only a hospital gown who was walking along the highway. He jumped the guardrail and ran down the hill.

A manic person drew a caller’s concern after he talked about starting a militia and people dying.

A parking kerfuffle turned disorderly after a driver dropping off a disabled patient was blocked by another vehicle. The driver honked and flashed lights in an attempt to get the vehicle to move. That agitated the suspect, who then challenged the driver to a fight and called him slurs.

A person was banned from a homeless shelter after allegedly stealing another guest’s bike.

Suspicious text messages of a personal conversation appeared on a woman’s cellphone, but the text conversation never happened and she didn’t know who sent the messages. She was advised to block the number.

A woman lying in the grass was just taking a nap.

Two dogs bark all day long, but especially between 4 and 9 p.m. The owners were left a note about the noise complaint.

A kitty was put in quarantine for 10 days after a man found a dead bat in his house. The cat either killed the bat or dragged it in from somewhere.

A man accused a dealership of theft after his Smith & Wesson went missing from his pickup. Officers found the weapon in a seat pocket and advised the man not to leave a firearm in the truck when he gets it serviced.


The Whitefish Police Department received a call about two “spooky” men in a gray 4Runner that allegedly had been speeding and passing vehicles dangerously from Kalispell to a parking lot off U.S. 93 North in Whitefish and another driver thought officers should check if they were intoxicated. 

A silver BMW reportedly swerved across three lanes of traffic, went into the ditch and back onto the road at Rose Crossing and U.S. 93 North. 

A driver speeding on U.S. 93 South and Blanchard Lake Road was ticketed by Whitefish Police for going 61 mph in a 45 mph zone and was warned about having an obstructed windshield.
