Libby native Konnor Ralph qualified Sunday for his second medal round in the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics.
Ralph, 23, came up big when he needed it, scoring 85 in his third run in the men’s Freeski Big Air qualifying round. Konnor will compete in the finals Tuesday. Wearing bib No. 17, Ralph is scheduled to start first.
Ralph scored 86.5 in his first run Sunday, but missed landing in his second run. With the pressure on, his 85 gave him a total of 171.75. That was enough to sneak past Switzerland’s Fabian Boesch, who scored 170.
American teammates Mac Forehand and Troy Podmilsak will join Ralph in the finals. Forehand finished first in qualifying. Wearing bib No. 9, Forehand will start last.
