I was born May 27, 1943, in Rocky Mountain, Alberta, Canada. (I was named Marietta Baxter). I passed away Jan. 30, 2026, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

I was adopted by Francis and Emilia Clapham, and re-named Millicent Emilia Clapham. I arrived in Oakland, Calif., on July 15, 1943. I lived most of my life in the Northern California area of Oakland, Berkeley, Santa Rosa, San Francisco, and later in Napa Valley for my married life. I married Victor Harry Larsen, Jr., on June 2, 1969, in Reno, Nev. We raised our children in Napa, Calif. We retired to Sandpoint, Idaho, on May 27, 1992, where we finished our dream home and moved in in October 1994. On May 28, 2003, we moved to Dalton Gardens, Idaho, and from there I moved to Meadow Ranch in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, in April 2013.

I loved gardening, growing lots of vegetables and flowers. I loved sewing, crocheting, knitting, reading, music, riding horseback, 4-H pigs, baking cakes, and especially cookies, but most of all I loved my children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, my sisters and brothers, aunts, uncles, and numerous nephews and nieces (lots).

I loved to volunteer at the Coeur d’Alene Visitor Center, the “3 C’s”, The Blankets for Kids at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Alter Guild, Women’s Guild, and especially attending St. Luke’s as a member.

I have enjoyed my life, with a few regrets, but just overflowing with wonderful, loving, funny memories, a few of sorrow and grief. I have enjoyed being silly, laughing, dancing, playing the accordion in grammar and middle school, being in the choir, swimming, watching birds and clouds, embracing all of God’s beauty in nature, humans and animals.

I am survived by my son, Charles Victor Larsen, and his wife, Becky; my stepsons, Kenneth Wayne Larsen and his wife, Beverly, Guy Phillip Larsen and his wife, Maureen; my stepdaughters, Vicki Joy Duncan and husband William, and Diana Gail Reed; my grandchildren, my great grandchildren, my sisters, brothers, and numerous nephews and nieces.  My husband of 37 ½ years preceded me in death on Nov. 7, 2006. We are again united by God.

A memorial service will be held Feb. 28, 2026, at 1 p.m., at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 501 Wallace Ave., Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Luke’s Episcopal Church (stlukescda.org) or Hospice of North Idaho (hospiceofnorthidaho.org).

Yates Funeral Home is entrusted with final arrangements. Please visit Milli’s online memorial and sign her guestbook at yatesfuneralhomes.com.
