Polson Friends of the Library Book Sale – Feb. 20-21 in the community room of the North Lake County Public Library; the Polson Friends of the Library offers a huge selection of used books and media from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday. 

David Thompson in Montana – 1-3 p.m. Feb. 21 at the Ninepipes Museum; Doug Stevens presents a history of the travels of fur trader and map maker David Thompson. Stevens will host a Q&A after the talk, with refreshments. 

Glacier Brewing Company Chili Cook-Off – 1-4 p.m. Feb. 22 at Glacier Brewing Company; registration is open until Feb. 15, with an entry fee of $10. This event is open to the public, and first, second, and third-place prizes will be awarded. 

Master Gardener Level 1 Class Series – 2 p.m. Feb. 23 at the North Lake County Public Library; Patrick Mangan, from the MSU extension office, shares info on soils, botany, ornamentals, vegetables, trees, rodent control and weeds, during this eight-week class that concludes April 13. All About Plankton – 4 p.m. Feb. 25 at the North Lake County Public Library; Kelly Minear and the Flathead Lake Biological Station present a program about plankton and its role in the lake's food web, as well as mysis shrimp.

Lead Where You Live – 6:30 p.m. Feb. 26; Montana Library Network Virtual Programming presents a virtual session led by Tracy McIntyre, designed for anyone who cares about their community and wants to lead by presence, purpose and participation. Be a Part of History – A Round Table Discussion – 1 p.m. Feb. 27 at the North Lake County Public Library; historians, long-time locals, and those who love to talk about the 'old days' are invited to contribute information on the history of buildings and businesses to create a walking/drive-through history tour of Polson. 

Ice House Rendezvous – 4-9 p.m. Feb. 27 at the Ronan Co-op Brewery; participants are invited to set up their ice-fishing digs in the street in front of the brewery or come get a glimpse of what’s involved in winter fishing. A chili cook-off is also on tap. 

Harvest of the Month – 11 a.m. Feb. 28 at the North Lake County Public Library; learn more about beet roots and their edible leaves, planting tips and recipes.

"Melania" – 1 p.m. Feb. 28 at Showboat Stadium 6 in Polson; one-time showing of new film on First Lady Melania Trump. 

Arts & Crafts in Polson – 1-4 p.m. Wednesdays at Summit Independent Living, 3 Ninth Ave. West, Suite 1 in Polson; join CSKT elder Tammie Miller for an afternoon of crafting, companionship and snacks. Cheerful Heart Cancer Support Group – 10-11 a.m. on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month in the third-floor Leahy Conference Room at St. Joseph Medical Center in Polson; pastor Matthew Connolly leads the group, which welcomes those recently diagnosed or undergoing treatment, cancer survivors, and/or family members.
