The junior pitcher from Coeur d'Alene High and North Idaho College made a splash in her debut for the Lady Owls of Klamath Falls, Ore. In the second game against Ottawa University on Feb. 10 in Surprise, Ariz., Schmidt entered the game in the second inning and struck out eight and allowed two hits in five-plus shutout innings. Last Friday in Glendale, Ariz., Schmidt pitched a two-hit shutout with eight strikeouts in an 8-0 victory over Arizona Christian in a matchup of 2025 NAIA National Tournament teams. On Saturday in Glendale, Schmidt scattered four hits in a 3-2 victory over Hope International in the opener. For the week, Schmidt struck out 22 in 23.2 innings, allowing 12 hits and posting a 1.18 ERA for the Lady Owls, who went 7-1 last week to open the season.

The freshman infielder from Lake City High homered in his first college game last Friday, a three-run shot in the bottom of the third inning for the Titans in a 9-0 win over Skagit Valley at Minnitti Field in Tacoma. Tacoma took all three games from Skagit Valley in the season-opening weekend series.

The 6-foot-9 forward, a graduate student who previously played at North Idaho College and the University of Idaho, has started all 24 games he has played in for the Aggies (12-13, 5-10 Conference USA), averaging 11.0 points and 9.1 rebounds in 28 minutes per game, and shooting 58.6 percent from the field (109 of 186). He has highs of 22 points vs. Missouri State on Jan. 4, and 15 rebounds vs. Western Kentucky four days later.

Brennan, a 5-foot-7 redshirt freshman guard from Post Falls High, had six points and five rebounds for the Division II Yellowjackets (14-12, 6-7 Great Northwest Conference) in a 73-65 overtime loss to Central Washington on Feb. 12 in Ellensburg, Wash.

Sims, a 6-foot junior from Post Falls High, had 18 points and 18 rebounds for the Wildcats (21-3, 12-2 Great Northwest Conference) in a 73-65 overtime win over Montana State-Billings on Feb. 12 in Ellensburg, Wash.

Nichols, a 5-foot-5 senior point guard from Post Falls High, had 15 points, 10 rebounds and 10 steals for the Nighthawks (16-7, 11-4 Great Northwest Conference) in a 71-44 win over Montana State-Billings (14-13, 6-8) on Saturday in Nampa.
