Libby falls to Browning, Whitefish in Northwest A play

The Libby Lady Loggers dropped a pair of Northwest A Conference games last week, falling to Browning on Saturday and Whitefish on Thursday.

Kendee Olinger-Calf Boss Ribs poured in 15 points to lead Browning to a 45-28 victory over Libby on Saturday. The Lady Indians used a decisive second quarter to take control, outscoring the Lady Loggers 19-3 during the stretch.

Olinger-Calf Boss Ribs accounted for six points in the quarter, while Zoey Valandra added five points, including a 3-pointer, to spark the surge. Browning carried a 23-8 lead into halftime and maintained the advantage the rest of the way.

Libby led 5-4 after the opening quarter but struggled offensively in the middle periods before finishing strong with 16 fourth-quarter points.

Hadleigh Wood paced the Lady Loggers (2-15, 0-11 Northwest A) with 11 points. Rylee Delmas added 10.

On Thursday, Whitefish built an early cushion and never looked back in a 50-29 win over the Lady Loggers.

Avery Orme led the Bulldogs with 19 points, while Allie Shors added 12. Reese Hudson contributed eight points as Whitefish (10-5 overall, 6-3 Northwest A) jumped out to a 26-8 halftime lead.

Libby struggled to find rhythm offensively in the first three quarters but closed the game on a positive note, outscoring Whitefish 15-4 in the final frame.

Rylee Delmas led the Lady Loggers with 18 points. Hadleigh Wood added five.

Libby hosts Ronan Saturday for Senior Night.
