Samuel “Sam” Lyndon Card, 45, of Kingston, Idaho, passed away Feb. 10, 2026, at his home in Kingston. Sam was born on April 24, 1980, in Coquille, Ore., a son of the late Cole Card and Ramona (Kadletz) Card.
Sam graduated from North Idaho College, Class of 1998. Sam was a heavy equipment operator and carpenter, and he enjoyed creating things with his hands.
In 2001, he married his best friend, Cherie Cox. They spent 24 great years together. They enjoyed raising 4 children together: Jordan Cox, Joshua Cox, Juliette Card and Jaxon Card. Sam and Cherie have 5 grandchildren, Caleb Card, Jennifer Card, Lillian Card, Stella Dawson and Cole Cox.
Sam enjoyed riding his Harley with his wife, going on adventures and being outdoors any chance he could.
Sam leaves behind many siblings, Martha Jeager, Joanne Merrill, Mike Card, Donald Card, Phil Card, Sheryl Bartels, Boyd, Sandi Card, Kim Cooper, Sheila Toldness and Nancy.
Sam was an extremely optimistic, joyful God-loving man who enjoyed helping others. Stopping to help anyone in need, Sam would take time out of his own vacations along the way if he saw someone stranded on the side of the road or rest area.
Sam will forever be loved and missed by his friends and family. The world truly lost an amazing human.
A celebration of Sam’s life is being planned for a later date.
