Betty passed away peacefully at the Schneidmiller Hospice House in Coeur d'Alene on Feb. 8, 2026. She was born in Denver, Colo., to James and Carrie Alley. Two years after Betty was born, she tragically lost her father, James, in a railroad accident. Betty eventually moved to California, where she met her husband, Robert Correll, who served during WWII. They married May 1, 1946. Betty lost her first child to complications at birth. She lived on to bear three sons.

Betty was widowed in 2004 and shortly after moved to Coeur d'Alene to be with her sons. Betty was a mother, wife and homemaker. Her husband, Robert, owned a machining business where Betty worked in the office and also performed some machining tasks as well. During their retirement, they both enjoyed traveling, domestic and abroad.

After selling her home in Coeur d'Alene, she moved to Garden Plaza in Post Falls, where she lived the remainder of her life. All of the Garden Plaza staff who knew her and cared for her always gave her endearing praise. Betty's family wishes to extend their gratitude for those who assisted and cared for her at Garden Plaza.

Betty is survived by three sons, six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Betty will be remembered for her tireless devotion in caring for her family.

A private family internment was held at Riverview Cemetery in Coeur d'Alene on Feb. 19, 2026.
