Big fourth quarter vaults Valkyries past Kats

Paeten Gunlock scored 21 points and the Bigfork Valkyries pulled away in the fourth quarter to defeat Columbia Falls in a key Northwest A girls basketball game Friday, Feb. 20.

Gunlock scored seven points in the final period, including a trio of free throws, as the Vals (13-5 overall, 10-2 in Northwest A games) built on a 30-27 lead. She finished 7 of 9 at the line.  

Onnika Lawrence drained three 3-pointers and scored 16 points for the Wildkats (9-9, 7-5).
