Bonner County students honored for academic excellence

Ahlmann earns dean's list honors

Kaija Ahlmann, of Sandpoint, earned dean's list honors at the University of Tampa for the fall 2025 semester. 

Ahlmann is a senior majoring in International Business and Marketing BS. Students must maintain a GPA of 3.75 or higher to be eligible for the dean's list.

The University of Tampa is a private, comprehensive university located on 110 acres on the riverfront in downtown Tampa. Known for academic excellence, personal attention and real-world experience in its undergraduate and graduate programs, the University has about 200 programs of study and serves more than 11,500 students from 50 states and most of the world's countries.


Adams named to Kennesaw State's president's list 

Vance Adams of Sandpoint has been named to the Kennesaw State University fall 2025 president's lList.

Majoring in cybersecurity, Adams is among more than 6,900 undergraduate students recognized on the fall 2025 president's list.

To qualify, students must achieve a term grade point average of 4.0 while completing a minimum of nine credit hours.

Kennesaw State University offers undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral degrees to its more than 51,000 students.


Alabama announces academic honors

Several Bonner County students are among the of 15,388 students enrolled during the 2025 fall semester at the University of Alabama who were named to the dean's list. Students with an academic record of 3.5 (or above) or the president's list with an academic record of 4.0. These driven students are making waves across UA's more than 70 undergraduate programs and 12 colleges and schools.

Local students earning honors include: Elizabeth Floch of Blanchard, who was named to the dean's list; and Miles Rocholl of Sagle, who was named to the president's list.

A total of 15,388 students enrolled during the 2025 falls semester at the University of Alabama were named to the dean's list with an academic record of 3.5 (or above) or the president's list with an academic record of 4.0.


Freed-Hardeman University announces honors

Freed-Hardeman University has released the names of students who made the president's and dean's lists for the 2025 fall semester. To be on the president's list, a student must be full-time and have a 4.0 grade point average. Students on the dean's list have earned a minimum 3.4 grade point average for the semester.

Among those earning the academic honor is Seth Johnson of Sandpoint, who was named to the dean's list. Johnson is a junior who is earning a degree in Bible: Christian Apologetics.

With locations in Henderson and Memphis, FHU offers associate, bachelor's, master's, specialist and doctoral degrees.


Faria earns UM Global Campus honors

Kenai Faria of Sagle was named to the dean's list for the fall 2025 term at University of Maryland Global Campus. To be eligible for the honor, a student must complete at least six credits during the term, earned a grade point average of at least 3.5 for the term, and maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.5 at UMGC.

University of Maryland Global Campus offers a variety of online and hybrid courses, more than 175 classroom and service locations worldwide, and more than 135 degrees and certificate.


Miller named to CU dean's list

Chase Miller of Sandpoint was named to the dean's list at Cedarville University for the 2025 fall semester. This recognition requires the student to obtain a 3.75 GPA or higher for the semester and carry a minimum of 12 credit hours.

Cedarville University, an evangelical Christian institution in southwest Ohio, offers undergraduate and graduate residential and online programs across arts, sciences and professional fields.


Eastern Oregon announces fall dean's list 

Eastern Oregon University named 606 students to the dean's list for the 2026 fall term. Qualifying students achieve and maintain a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale while completing a minimum of 12 hours of graded coursework for the term.

Among students earning the academic recognition is  Peyton Ennis of Sandpoint, who is earning a degree in STM and Health Science, Health and Human Performance.

EOU offers classes both at its main campus in La Grande, Ore., online and onsite at centers across the state of Oregon.


Riitters named to UW-Madison dean's list

The University of Wisconsin-Madison has recognized students named to the university's dean's list for the fall semester of the 2025-2026 academic year.

Among those earning honors is Mara Riitters of Sagle, who is a student in the university's School of Education.

Students who achieve at a high level academically are recognized by the dean at the close of each semester. To be eligible for the dean's list, students must complete a minimum of 12 graded degree credits in that semester. Each university school or college sets its own GPA requirements for students to be eligible to receive the distinction.
