Candidates file for Mineral County positions

Around 150 candidates for district, legislative and statewide offices submitted their official paperwork with the Montana Secretary of State’s Office on Feb. 17, the first day candidates could file for office. Candidates have until March 4 to file their paperwork.
For Mineral County offices, as of Friday, Feb. 20, the following individuals have filed:

The West End Volunteer Fire Department is one of 150 volunteer departments across the nation selected to receive a $10,000 grant through the State Farm Good Neighbor Firefighter Safety Program.

Cedar Creek history tour and potluck coming up
The 2026 Annual Historical Tour and Potluck will take place Saturday, Sept.12, giving longtime residents another opportunity to revisit some favorite pieces of Mineral County history while newcomers get a chance to discover the stories, places and people that helped shape the community they now call home.
