Flathead Valley Community College holds motivational talks

Flathead Valley Community College’s Continuing Education Center is offering one-hour midday sessions to explore valuable topics that support both personal and professional growth during Motivational Mondays.
Talks are in the Wachholz Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Each session is $35 and registration is required. Participants are encouraged to bring their lunch.
On March 2, Lisa Jones McClellan will speak on Communicating Across Generations. She will talk about navigating the different communication styles, preferences and expectations shaped by each group’s unique formative experiences, societal trends and technology.
Building Resiliency is the topic on March 23 when Sam Herbert talks about skills to cope with stress, manage change and bounce back from challenges in an increasingly dynamic workplace.
On March 30, learn Atomic Habits with Kathy Dunnehoff. Attendees will discover a proven system to transform their lives by making good habits good habits inevitable and bad habits impossible.
Join Phil Quigley on April 6 to learn what to do when feeling undermined, isolated and sabotaged at work during “Mayday! Discouraged at Work?.”
On April 20, Sam Herbert leads Navigating Change by exploring the process of guiding or adapting to significant transitions, disruptions or transformations within an organization or your personal life.
Conflict Resolution is the topic on May 4 led by Cindy Carpenter. Learn strategies for navigating disagreements respectfully and finding mutually beneficial solutions to maintain a positive work environment.
On May 11, the topic is American Heroism. From Medal of Honor winners on the battlefield to everyday heroes on the home front, Phil Quigley helps attendees uncover “True North” behaviors of courageous leaders that create cultures of excellence and accountability.
