On Feb. 17, 2026, Sharrell Maureen Perry, 75, peacefully passed away, with family at her side.
Sharrell was born April 27, 1950, in Kalispell, to Kenneth and Clarice Wood. She lived a life rooted in love, loyalty, and devotion to the people around her. As the eldest child, she paved the way for her siblings and embraced the role of caretaker from the very beginning, something that would become a defining thread throughout her life.
Sharrell called Kalispell and the Flathead Valley home for nearly her entire life, where she raised her family and formed lifelong friendships.
Her first marriage to James Lee Powell blessed her with daughters, Carrie and Tammie. A few years later, she met Monte Gregg, and together they welcomed her youngest daughter, Shantell (Shana).
In time, Sharrell found her ultimate life partner in her husband, Rick Perry, the love who matched her spirit and sense of adventure. After many years of choosing each other, always in the best ways, they built a life filled with laughter, companionship, and countless shared journeys.
Sharrell worked a majority of her adult life at Kegler’s Lounge at Skyline Bowl in Kalispell. She poured her heart into creating a welcoming, supportive environment for her employees and patrons, where she worked tirelessly to cultivate a space that felt like family. Her regulars weren’t just customers, they were part of her circle, embraced with the same generosity she extended to everyone she loved.
Sharrell was a caregiver first and foremost. She delighted in creating special memories for her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and she treasured every moment spent with her family and close friends.
She had a deep love of photography; a passion reflected in the thousands of photos stored on her hard drives and throughout her home. Through her lens, she “created memories” of her adventures, capturing the beauty of the world around her, and chronicling the lives of the people she loved most. Her photographs tell the story of a life well lived.
Sharrell was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth Wood, Clarice and Merlin Raybourn, and her sister, Janet.
She is survived by her constant in both the everyday and the extraordinary, husband, Rick Perry; her daughters, Carrie (Joey) Jochim of North Dakota; Tammie (Chris) Hagen of Arizona; Shana (Kyle) Marx of Montana; Kay Perry of Montana; and Sara (Josh) McCue of California.
She leaves behind her grandchildren, Sean Kurta, Virginia Joyce, Kayla Shupert, Trevor Schwegel, Collin Schwegel, Finn Marx, Cody and Pierce McCue; as well as her six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Jan (Tom) Thueringer, Pam (Ken) Ellis, Rick (Kellie) Wood, and Marcy Raybourn.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were fortunate enough to be loved by her, and we will continue her legacy of making special memories.
An open house celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 21 between 2-5 p.m. at the home of Pam and Ken Ellis, 437 Rosewater Loop, Kalispell.
