Garrison commits to Eastern Oregon University

Full caption: Sandpoint High standout Lucas Garrison recently committed to continue his football career at Eastern Oregon University (NAIA) in La Grande, Ore. A 5-foot-11-inch strong and free safety, Garrison was an integral part of the Bulldogs' defense across the last two seasons, earning 5A All-Inland Empire League honors as a senior. Overall, across 21 games played, he recorded 144 total tackles (6.9 tackles per game), 74 of which were solo and seven of which were for losses, and added two fumble recoveries and an interception to his totals. On special teams, he had 13 kickoff returns for a total of 257 yards, with a long of 69 yards. "Lucas is the full package," Sandpoint High head football coach Ryan Knowles said. "He's worked so hard for us — since I've known him — and he's wanted this for so long. Super excited to see what he can do at the next level."
